Carlisle Planning Board approves fire station well-access path; defers wildlife facility decision. The Planning Board voted 5-1 to authorize a 15-foot-wide permeable access path connecting the fire station to a new water supply well, with a condition requiring maintenance of the path and adjacent trees. Board member Joseph Gushue opposed the measure, advocating for an alternative Rockland Road route that the majority found impractical and costly.
In a separate matter, the Board continued the public hearing for Newhouse Wildlife Rescue at 1090 North Road to August 10 after more than 30 speakers raised traffic safety concerns about the proposed 13.13-acre wildlife rehabilitation and educational center.
