Carlisle Board of Health rejects noncompliant property septic renovation. The board unanimously rejected an application from Jingjing Zhang to renovate the septic system at 143 Brook Street, citing the property's undersized three-bedroom system serving an eight-room house. Although the septic passed a 2010 Title 5 test, the house remains out of compliance and the proposed interior work would not remedy the violation.
The board also tabled discussion of septic regulation changes and heard a presentation on the Cranberry Bog affordable housing project, a four-unit conversion of a historic structure on conservation land.
