Carlisle Conservation Commission approves extended farm licenses, continues fire station hearing. The board unanimously issued three-year agricultural licenses to Mark Duffy for the Greenough property, Foss Farm, and the Hutchins and Robbins fields, providing operational flexibility for crop rotation and hay production. The Commission continued its hearing on the fire station renovation (DEP File 125-1210, 80 Westford Street) to March 26 after rejecting a Planning Board recommendation to widen the eastern driveway from 14 to 20 feet, a change that would encroach into the wetland buffer zone by 6 to 7 feet.
Fire Chief Brian Sorrows confirmed the current one-way design meets operational needs. The board authorized Conservation Administrator Megan Sullivan to seek contractor bids for field mowing at three conservation properties, estimated at 4,000 dollars from the Land Stewardship Committee's remaining 24,000 dollar budget.
