Carlisle CPC approves $700K for library renovation, housing design

Carlisle CPC approves $700K in community preservation funding. The Community Preservation Committee unanimously approved $500,000 in CPA funds for the Gleason Library Renovation Project and $200,000 for design and permitting of the Cranberry Bog House Affordable Housing project, according to the April 29 minutes. Library Trustee Karen Gettings presented the library request, noting that construction costs have escalated since 2022; the additional CPA funding, combined with three pending grants totaling $215,000, is expected to cover a remaining budget shortfall.
The committee also unanimously endorsed its final six-article warrant recommendation to the Annual Town Meeting, including preservation of town vital records and rental assistance for residents.
