Carlisle Opens FY27 Community Preservation Grant Cycle

CARLISLE — The Community Preservation Committee has opened its FY27 fall grant cycle, with applications due by noon on Friday, August 14, ahead of a vote at the November 16 Special Town Meeting.

The Community Preservation Committee announced that its FY27 fall grant cycle is now accepting applications, according to the town's News Flash feed. Proposals must be submitted by noon on Friday, August 14, and successful applicants will see their requests go before voters at the Special Town Meeting scheduled for November 16 in the Corey Auditorium and Cafeteria of the Carlisle Public School.

Town Hall also flagged its Household Hazardous Waste Day, set for Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, and reminded residents that the Transfer Station now limits parking to 15 minutes to keep traffic moving.

SCHOOLS

Carlisle Public Schools continues to operate on its summer schedule, with the main office open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through August 7 during summer school. The district has also closed the School Street lot to parking on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and restricted playground access to students during that window while summer programming is underway.

The Carlisle School Committee's next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m.

COMING UP

The Community Preservation Committee's FY27 grant application deadline falls on Friday, August 14, at noon. Household Hazardous Waste Day follows the next day, Saturday, August 15, from 9 a.m. to noon. The Joint School Committee's Climate and Culture Working Group and the Diment Park Subcommittee both meet remotely on Thursday, July 30. The Carlisle School Committee convenes Wednesday, August 5, at 10 a.m.
