Carlisle Pulls Cardboard Container From Transfer Station Service

CARLISLE — Carlisle's Transfer Station has pulled its cardboard collection container from service, directing residents to follow posted signage for cardboard drop-off until it is restored, the town announced this week.

TOWN HALL The Department of Public Works confirmed the cardboard container at the Transfer Station is out of service and asked residents to follow posted instructions for disposing of cardboard in the meantime. No timeline for restoring the container was given.

Town Hall also released its August Municipal Newsletter, which rounds up monthly town and community news, celebrations and happenings; the town said submissions from community groups remain welcome for future editions.

COMING UP Massachusetts' state primary is Tuesday, September 1, with polls open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Clark Room at Town Hall, 66 Westford Street, according to the Town Clerk's office. The town's election calendar also lists an advance removal of early-voted and absentee ballots for Monday, August 31, ahead of primary day.
