Carlisle Schools Post Summer Resources as Transfer Station Enforcement Kicks In

With the academic year wrapped up, Carlisle Public Schools has posted summer learning resources online and the town's Transfer Station permit enforcement is fully active — the two most practical reminders for residents heading into the July 4th holiday week.

TOWN HALL

The town's Transfer Station is now operating under active permit enforcement. Residents who need to complete a same-day transaction can do so with a credit or debit card at the Police Station; all other transactions will be processed by mail. Cash is not accepted. Details are available at carlislema.gov.

Town Hall itself continues operating on its standard summer schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to noon.

SCHOOLS

Carlisle Public Schools has published summer learning resources on its website ahead of the district's summer break. The materials include summer reading recommendations for all grade levels and math practice tools. Summer School runs July 6 through Aug. 7, during which the school's main office will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking in the School Street lot is restricted on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. during that period, and playground access is limited to summer school students during those hours.

The next Carlisle School Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m.
