Carlisle Sets 15-Minute Parking Limit at Transfer Station

CARLISLE — Carlisle's Transfer Station now enforces a 15-minute parking limit for vehicles on-site, a move town officials say is needed to keep traffic moving during busy drop-off periods.

The Town of Carlisle announced a new Transfer Station regulation limiting parking on-site to 15 minutes, according to a News Flash posted July 23. Attendants may ask drivers parked longer than the limit to move their vehicles to a legal spot outside the facility, the town said, framing the change as necessary "to assure adequate traffic flow."

The update comes as the Transfer Station continues to operate under permit enforcement rules announced earlier this summer, which require same-day transactions to be made by credit or debit card at the Police Station, with all other transactions handled by mail; no cash is accepted.

Separately, the town's July municipal newsletter is now available online, offering monthly updates on town and community happenings, including space for community group submissions.
