Carlisle Cemetery Committee authorizes expansion investigation, increases fees. Following the May 18 Town Meeting approval of funding, the Committee began a request for qualifications process to investigate Leavitt land for potential cemetery expansion. Chairman Gordon Means will help oversee the project; DPW Superintendent James Hall and Assistant to Town Manager Gretchen Gallimore will manage the RFQ process for a July 1st release to the Select Board.
The meeting approved fee increases for cemetery upkeep and authorized purchase of a new backhoe. Unanimously, the committee added Rebecca Madden Sturges as a member with a term ending in 2029.
