CARLISLE — Concord-Carlisle working group outlines school climate measurement framework. The Concord-Carlisle School Committee Climate and Culture Working Group, chaired by Brian Waterson, discussed data collection approaches including the Youth Risk Behavior Survey, Panorama, and MCAS to measure school climate and culture. Members reviewed strategies for gathering student voice through affinity groups, community coffees, and the METCO program, with Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Andrew Nyamekye emphasizing the importance of centering student input in defining metrics.

The working group will reconvene in August and present recommendations to the full School Committee in mid-fall.
