Carlisle Conservation Commission authorizes Woodward Fields invasive species removal. The Commission voted unanimously to direct Conservation Administrator Meghan Sullivan to remove invasive bittersweet and deteriorated fencing from Woodward Fields pending Agricultural Commission consultation. Members also selected Fox Hill as the pilot property for a new long-term land management plan process and authorized nine specific maintenance items at Foss Farm for the Pony Club while deferring broader use decisions pending habitat assessment.
Commission Member Melissa Webster advocated for immediate action on field invasives, noting that delays would compound costs once the growing season advanced.
