CARLISLE — Conservation Commission backs comprehensive land-management planning structure. The commission voted unanimously to support a multi-stakeholder process developed by Land Use and Sustainability Coordinator Sarah Wasserman — involving stakeholder summits, public input, and formal management plans for conservation lands. Commissioners also continued a Japanese Knotweed removal and restoration hearing to April 23, approved tree removals at two properties including five dead ash trees subject to emerald ash borer disposal compliance, and authorized a trial of electric mowing equipment before a purchase decision.
The commission denied an early extension request from applicant Jill Sifantus for a septic-system permit.
