Carlisle fire station renovation committee approves occupancy estimate for MassDEP review. The Fire Station Building Renovation Committee unanimously approved an occupancy narrative projecting 17 persons per day at the renovated facility, establishing the water supply requirement for Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection review. The projection, based on operational data from Fire Chief Bryan Sorrows, accounts for approximately 250 annual fire responses averaging 5 firefighters, 300 annual emergency medical services responses averaging 4 personnel, training sessions, and limited general town use of the facility's training room.
Committee member David Flannery was unanimously designated to represent the committee at upcoming MassDEP meetings. The committee also reviewed two design options for the main building addition, with decisions deferred pending Planning Board feedback on April 13.
