Committee approves organic waste reduction, plans spring event

CARLISLE — Environmental Sustainability Committee unanimously backs organic waste reduction plan. The committee voted to approve a letter of support for the Transfer Station Action Committee's initiative, to be sent to the Select Board. Members unanimously approved up to $1,100 in rental funding for the River Transverse Sustainability Day event, along with $878.85 in advertising placements in The Mosquito for promotion of the April 14 event.
