Carlisle Conservation Commission approves land management work for conservation properties. The Commission voted unanimously to adopt mowing scopes for Benfield, Towle Field, Woodward, and Foss Farm properties, plus an invasive plant removal scope targeting phragmites at the Cranberry Bog, Japanese knotweed at Greenough, and Canada thistle and poison ivy at Towle Field. The Commission continued a tree removal request at 72 Brook Street while approving three-tree removal at 991 North Road conditioned on native blueberry mitigation.
The Commission also approved a $2,860 peer review from EcoTec, Inc. for the Woodward Village residential project and voted to co-sponsor a June 8 public presentation on cranberry bog ecology at Gleason Library.
