CARLISLE — Conservation Commission approves tree removal from Bingham Road property with mitigation requirements. The commission voted unanimously to allow removal of seven white pine trees, three determined to be dead, with applicants Daniel and Sabrina Graves required to leave 10-to-16-foot snags for wildlife habitat and implement native plantings. Conservation Administrator Meghan Sullivan presented photographs showing woodpecker damage and structural instability from edge effects of previous development.
The commission also continued hearings on a fire station renovation project and Japanese knotweed removal project, authorized discussions with Grow Native Massachusetts regarding management concerns, and approved bills totaling $2,847.50 for invasive species management and conference registration.
