CARLISLE — The Conservation Commission approved tree removals with mitigation and discussed a controversial Cranberry Bog land-swap proposal without voting. The Commission unanimously issued a wetland delineation order for 750 Curve Street and approved removal of two poplar trees at Pine Brook Road and a split pine tree at Nowell Farme Road, each with native tree and shrub mitigation. The proposal to trade 30,000 square feet of Cranberry Bog conservation land for approximately 13 acres of Conant Land to enable affordable housing drew significant public concern.
Three permit hearings were continued to October 8.
