CARLISLE — Conservation Commission reviewed 35 conservation parcels and agreed on a draft management framework. Sustainability and Land Use Coordinator Sarah Wasserman led a property-by-property review identifying key characteristics, legal constraints, and maintenance needs. Five complex properties—Cranberry Bog, Foss Farm, Greenough, Towle, and Woodward—were identified as warranting dedicated planning.
The Commission will schedule a follow-up workshop to finalize the framework, and Select Board member Scott Triola affirmed the need for a long-term capital and maintenance plan to address chronic underfunding of land stewardship.
