CARLISLE — Conservation Commission enforces wetland rules against tree cutting. The Carlisle Conservation Commission unanimously issued an enforcement order against property owners Melinda Gambino and Peter Gambino at 387 East Riding Drive who unpermittedly removed between 12 and 15 mature pine trees within a 100-foot wetland buffer zone and priority habitat for Blanding's turtles. The owners must submit a restoration plan compliant with state wildlife requirements within two months and replace permanent boundary signage and stone bounds.

The Commission separately denied a tree removal application at 120 Wolf Rock Road that exceeded administrative thresholds, and authorized an independent peer review of a more complex project at 253 Nowell Farme Road citing concerns about erosion control and resource protection.
