Council on Aging board formalizes direct assistance programs

Carlisle Council on Aging receives $10,000 grant and moves to formalize assistance programs. The board voted unanimously to accept Director Geoffrey Kotowski's report charting a strategic shift toward formal rental and fuel assistance policies, outcome tracking, and consolidation of town trust funds totaling $172,491.70. Chair Toni McBride led the meeting as transportation ridership surged 40.6 percent year-over-year to 246 January rides.
The Council is launching A Matter of Balance, an eight-week fall-prevention program in March, while developing a Social Services tracking framework to measure program impact and guide long-term sustainability.
