Cultural Council advances Music Festival planning after fundraiser success

Carlisle Cultural Council selects volunteer captains for upcoming Music Festival, defers grants. A March 14 fundraiser generated $4,072.52 in net proceeds. Chair Deborah Bentley will lead Sunday vendor operations while Amanda Kern takes Friday offering captain duties.
The council deferred review of six winter grant applications to April 6 because three applicants had not yet submitted budgets. Member Diane Staheli developed a nearly-ready festival website and a sponsorship campaign is scheduled for early May.
