Cultural Council approves Music Festival grant, recommends new members

Carlisle Cultural Council approves $10,000 Music Festival grant and committee appointments. The council unanimously approved a $10,000 grant to the Old Home Day Committee to address the $10,523.87 shortfall in the 2026 Music Festival. Chair Debbie Bentley recommended to the Select Board the reappointment of Chris Brenne and the appointment of Mark Levitan to the council for three-year terms.

The festival's total costs of $12,873.87 include sound engineering, musicians, tents, and support, with sponsorships covering $2,350.
