Cultural Council supports Gleason Library and Highland Building projects

Carlisle Cultural Council backs two community projects with $500,000 in CPA funding support. Karen Gettings presented the Friends of Gleason Library's request for an additional $500,000 in Community Preservation Act funding for the library renovation, which the council voted 5-0 to support for presentation at Town Meeting. Chair Deborah Bentley also led the council to vote 5-0 in support of a Highland Building renovation project, which a community group is proposing as a nonprofit-led public-private community space to address limited event venues in town for cultural programming.
