Diment Park Subcommittee approves February minutes, advances three playground designs

Recreation Commission · Meeting of April 14, 2026

CARLISLE — Diment Park Subcommittee backs ramp-entry playground design over two alternatives. Chair Sarah Wengert reported that the project will require a $3,000 to $5,000 civil engineering peer review and multiple Planning Board site plan review meetings before construction. Lu-La Design Studios presented three configurations; the subcommittee favored the ramp option because it preserves three large oak trees while maintaining play space, though members flagged concerns about proximity to the historic baseball diamond backstop and will seek confirmation from the Safety Committee.

Wengert will present the concept to the Planning Board on May 11, 2026.
