CARLISLE — Diment Park subcommittee advances design, defers Community Preservation funding. The Diment Park Subcommittee, chaired by Sarah Wengert, declined to pursue fall Community Preservation Committee funding, instead preparing for consideration at spring Town Meeting. Lu-La Design Studios is developing the preliminary design, recently approved by the Planning Board, with Nitsch Engineering entering the design phase in September.
The subcommittee accepted logs from the Trustees of Reservations for park use and discussed creating a Friends of Diment Park organization for long-term maintenance and stewardship, noting the Recreation Commission's general parks maintenance budget is approximately $27,000 per year.
