Environmental Committee approves invasive species workshop, outreach spending

CARLISLE — Environmental Sustainability Committee funds invasive species workshop and outreach. The committee unanimously approved up to $400 for a two-hour invasive removal workshop led by Maddie Kiszewski from Backyard Invasives, scheduled for late May or early June at $75 per hour, with co-chair Christina Christodoulopoulos assigned to research suitable work sites. The committee also unanimously approved $225 for a third quarterly ESC hour in June and additional funding of $8 for Route To Sustainability Day rentals, totaling $1,108.
Trail signs development was postponed until next fiscal year due to Conservation Commission capacity constraints.
