Fire Station Committee Awards $17.5M Project to Construction Dynamics

Fire Station Building Renovation Committee · Meeting of May 18, 2026

CARLISLE — Fire Station Building Renovation Committee unanimously backs $17.5 million fire station project. The committee voted to award the contract to Construction Dynamics as the lowest qualified bidder after rejecting Seaver's bid as nonconforming under state law, with Construction Dynamics holding a $14,839,000 construction contract price, $1,153,000 construction contingency, and $1,404,000 in soft costs. Co-chair Greg Zurlo revised the budget by reducing contingencies and eliminating the roof component and public water supply line items, avoiding what counsel Neil Joyce projected as a $445,000 escalation cost from a six-month project delay.
