Fire Station Renovation Advances on Schedule for Bidding

Fire Station Building Renovation Committee · Meeting of April 15, 2026

CARLISLE — Fire Station Building Renovation Committee advances design on schedule toward general contractor bidding. The committee reported that filed sub-bid results, with more than 80 responses across all disciplines, came in generally favorable, within approximately $100,000 of budget. Fire suppression bids remain a concern, with a gap of approximately $350,000 to $400,000 between low and second bidders.

General contractor bids are due April 24. The committee reached consensus that the rear driveway remains one-way and the fire station sign stays in its current orientation. A phased water supply approach will begin with a private well while pursuing public water permitting concurrently if needed.
