Fire station renovation clears ConsCom, addresses water supply costs
Fire Station Building Renovation Committee · Meeting of March 31, 2026
Carlisle fire station project clears ConsCom as committee finds water costs may be lower than expected. Co-chair Eric Balles presented an occupancy analysis showing the fire station would serve 13.6 people daily on average, well below the state Department of Environmental Protection's 25-person public water supply threshold. Conservation Commission approved the project with one condition: a new Notice of Intent if wetland buffer work is required.
The Planning Board has requested design modifications including parking expansion, with material submissions due for its April 13th meeting.
