Fire Station Renovation Committee finalizes $17.5M budget and design

CARLISLE — Fire Station Building Renovation Committee unanimously approves the $17.5M project cost estimate. Committee co-chairs Eric Balles and Greg Zurlo led the Committee's approval of the project's final design and total cost of approximately $17.5 million, which includes approximately $15.2 million in base construction costs after value engineering reductions of approximately $582,000. The Committee finalized four prioritized add-alternates: recessed walk-off mats at the lobby entry, additional security cameras, granite curbing upgrade, and existing roof replacement.
Consultant representatives from Tecton and CMS confirmed they would recommend proceeding to bid ahead of a Select Board briefing.
