CARLISLE — Fire Station renovation advances with design refinements and water-supply determination process. The committee approved updated architectural renderings with refinements including enhanced parapet height and landscaping revisions, deferring the outbuilding roof material decision pending Planning Board feedback. Committee members voted unanimously to have the engineer engage the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection to determine public water supply requirements that could affect project timeline, with permitting potentially taking six to twelve months.
Co-chairs Eric Balles and Greg Zurlo presided over committee members David Flannery and Suzanne Spinney, joined by Fire Chief Bryan Sorrows and Town Administrator Ryan McLane. For the May 18 Annual Town Meeting, the committee is planning outreach including open meetings, displays of renderings and floor plans at the library, and a video presentation, noting that video proved most effective in prior engagement efforts.
