Carlisle fire station renovation advances toward contract with Attorney General's sub-bidder mandate. The AG's office rejected the low electrical sub-bid due to a paragraph E violation, requiring the project to reference Systems Consultant instead with a $22,000 cost increase, the committee learned at its June 1 meeting. The town meeting vote exceeded the two-thirds majority, the debt exclusion vote was scheduled for June 2, and contracts are expected to reach CDI by week's end.
Soft costs will be refined over six to eight months with monthly updates on purchases and agreements.
