Fire Station Building Renovation Committee · Meeting of February 23, 2026

CARLISLE — Fire station renovation project tracking $1.5-2 million above initial budget benchmark estimate. The Fire Station Building Renovation Committee received a comprehensive cost estimate of $15.7 million with markups, driven by a $1.5-2 million increase from the benchmark of $13.6-14 million based on 50 percent design development documents. Electrical and HVAC systems account for nearly $1 million in increased costs since conceptual design, including $150,000 for a solar photovoltaic system.

Two previously identified high-cost items achieved $500,000 savings each. The committee unanimously approved release of pre-qualification evaluation results for over 150 contractor responses, with most meeting minimum bidding requirements and scheduled to receive notifications March 1st.
