Gleason Library Trustees accept $2.237M construction bid; request $500K in CPA funds

CARLISLE — Gleason Library Trustees award renovation contract to Construction Dynamics, Inc. The Trustees and Building Committee unanimously accepted the Clinton firm's bid of $2,237,000 including alternates after reviewing ten proposals, choosing the lowest-cost option when alternates were factored in over Classic Construction of Littleton, which held the lowest base bid at $1,588,000. To bridge a $765,700 gap between the project's $3,126,700 total cost and the $2,361,000 raised to date, the Trustees unanimously voted to request $500,000 from the Community Preservation Act fund.
