Gleason Library Trustees advance building renovation and capital campaign planning.
Gleason Public Library Trustees · Meeting of April 1, 2026
CARLISLE — Gleason Public Library Trustees endorsed their March minutes and pushed forward on a major building renovation, with 16 contractor firms competing for the project after a recent walk-through and an April 16 bid deadline. Library Director Karen Gettings reported FY27 budget finalization for town meeting approval and noted staff transitions, including Heather White's departure. The library is pursuing multiple grant applications to the Linn Foundation, T-Mobile Hometown Grant, and Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation, while capital campaign planners are seeking targeted donor outreach.
Trustees assigned individual members to contact nine town boards including the Select Board, Finance Committee, and Historical Commission to build support for a Community Preservation Act application ahead of a late-April CPC deadline.
