CARLISLE — Gleason Public Library trustees unanimously approved a security camera policy and consolidated four town trust accounts into unified management. The Community Preservation Committee advanced the library's $500,000 capital grant application to the spring town meeting warrant; trustees Karen Gettings and Martha Feeney-Patten reported the library has raised $2.295 million to date but faces a shortfall due to increased construction costs. Roof replacement from 2023 suffered first leaks with minor damage.
Grant applications are underway for T-Mobile Foundation, Middlesex Savings Bank, Linn Foundation, and Manton Foundation, with an estimated $25,000 to $30,000 state budget earmark under pursuit by state representative Simon Cataldo.
