Historical Commission approves February minutes, designates Mauke as Bog House liaison.

Historical Commission · Meeting of March 18, 2026

CARLISLE — Historical Commission unanimously approves February minutes and names Colby Mauke as liaison to the Bog House affordable housing conversion project. The Commission's three March 5 site visit participants advised architects on exterior preservation, window proportions, and interior egress solutions. Members discussed recruitment for two alternate and one full-time vacancy, targeting April newsletter publication and May open house.

Co-Chair Ben Herter reported the fire station renovation project is advancing toward Spring Town Meeting but flagged concerns about the design's scale and urban character relative to Carlisle's rural setting; members agreed to draft comments on landscaping and contextual design. The revolving fund holds $1,759.56 and the Commission maintained its $3,000 annual expenditure limit.
