Carlisle Historical Commission unanimously designates vital records as historically significant. The body approved Town Clerk Ashley Cote's $14,000 proposal to preserve, digitize, and index the town's vital records from approximately 1865-2025 for Community Preservation Committee funding consideration. The Commission also voted unanimously to hold the Demolition Review Bylaw pending continued community outreach and exploration of alternative funding sources, including Massachusetts Historical Commission grants, rather than advance it to the spring 2026 Town Meeting.
Co-Chair Krissy O'Shea reported that the Gleason Public Library staircase project has received Architectural Access Board variance approval with State Preservation Office support.
