Housing Trust seeks $200,000 for Bog House development

Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of March 19, 2026

Carlisle Affordable Housing Trust seeks $200,000 for Bog House development. Chair John Ballantine and the trust reviewed favorable feedback from the Conservation Commission and Trails Committee on the Bog House plans, particularly regarding parking and septic placement across the street. The trust is pursuing a bid from Landtech after determining a prior Nitsch Engineering estimate was too expensive, and Town Planner Julie Mercier proposed hiring an Article 97 consultant.

The trust also discussed significant building issues at the Benfield property, including heating and air conditioning system problems, and considered forming a working group with NOAH and town staff to address maintenance needs.
