CARLISLE — Land Stewardship Committee approves Cranberry Bog tour permit and property votes. The Committee approved a land use permit for Learning Adventures Inc.'s July 29 tour of the Cranberry Bog for approximately 40 participants including 18-25 children ages 3-8, conditioned on liability insurance naming the Town as an additional insured. The Committee voted unanimously to authorize Jonathan DeKock to recruit volunteers to remove vegetation at Foss Farm's fence and parking area, and voted unanimously to authorize staff to coordinate a Department of Public Works meeting on parking lot erosion and regrading.
The Committee discussed the FY27 conservation land maintenance budget of approximately $62,000, noting current funding is likely insufficient to address invasive infestations across all properties.
