CARLISLE — Land Stewardship Committee moves toward holistic approach to conservation land planning. Chair Chris Spinney led the committee in shifting from parcel-by-parcel planning toward a comprehensive, multi-property strategy for the town's conservation lands. Member Alex Parra urged the committee to convene with local farmers Andrew Rogers and Mark Duffy before finalizing management plans, while Member Angie Verge prioritized invasive plant clearing and perimeter trail establishment.
Mac Hisey, representing the Agricultural Commission, endorsed the broader approach. The committee scheduled July site visits to Russell Street and Foss to assess conservation priorities.
