Library Trustees reapprove security policy, push capital campaign to $500K

Gleason Public Library Trustees · Meeting of March 10, 2026

CARLISLE — Gleason Library Trustees reapprove security camera policy with counsel revisions. The five trustees present, including Karen Gettings, Jennifer Saak, Kaitlin Waterson, Martha Feeney-Patten, and Emma Boettcher of the Friends of Gleason Public Library, unanimously reapproved the policy and voted to resubmit the Community Preservation Act application requesting up to $500,000 to cover higher construction costs. Contractor walk-throughs for the building project begin March 13, with bid submissions due April 16.

Grant applications are in progress with the Linn Foundation, Middlesex Bank, and T-Mobile, and the trustees have launched a recruitment effort for two open board seats ahead of the March 31 town caucus.
