CARLISLE — Gleason Public Library trustees set a mid-July move to temporary location as renovation work begins. The board welcomed new trustee Arjun Majithia, assigning Karen Gettings as Chair, Kaitlin Waterson as Secretary/Vice Chair, and Majithia as Treasurer through November. Capital campaign fundraising received an additional $500,000 Community Preservation Committee grant and $50,000 donation from a supporter, though the project remains approximately $150,000 short.

The board decided to relocate library collections to temporary and storage locations to preserve materials during the renovation, with Town Administrator Ryan McLane to sign construction and lease contracts.
