Police Station renovation project advances with change order approval, construction within budget
Police Station Building Renovation Committee · Meeting of March 6, 2026
Carlisle police station renovation project wins committee approval for detention cell door work. The Police Station Building Renovation Committee unanimously approved PCO 02R3 for detention cell door modifications at a cost not to exceed $15,000 during a March 6 virtual meeting. Construction Monitoring Services reported the project remains on budget with substantial progress including basement framing, plumbing work, and HVAC installation; the committee rejected a contractor time-extension request citing contract terms that do not permit weather delays.
The town was directed to arrange separate radon testing, water quality assessment, and ice dam remediation studies, with construction completion targeted for August 2026.
