Policy Subcommittee Reviews Five Policies, Recommends Changes

School Committee Meeting Agendas (Local and Regional) · Meeting of January 16, 2026

CARLISLE — Policy Subcommittee advances five district policies to full board review. James Steele and Sharon A Whitt, with Superintendent James O'Shea and Assistant Mary O'Regan, reviewed A8.2 (nondiscrimination), C3 (distribution of information), J12 (residency), E4 (medication administration), J14 (student discipline), and K2 (staff solicitations), each against Massachusetts Association of School Committees model policies. The subcommittee recommended reaffirmation of A8.2 and C3 with technical edits, and revision of J12, E4, J14, and K2 to incorporate MASC language and internal feedback.

All recommendations will appear on the February 11 full School Committee agenda.
