Recreation Commission OKs tent upgrade, baseball diamond work for summer

Recreation Commission · Meeting of March 16, 2026

CARLISLE — The Recreation Commission approved $5,400 for upgraded tents at Summer Fun 2026 and granted Town Administrator Ryan McLane signatory authority for all Spalding Field baseball diamond renovation expenses scheduled for June 8-12. Member Meredith Bielecki resigned but will continue supporting inclusion efforts. The Commission also discussed hiring a second Co-Director for Summer Fun; Town Administrator McLane recommended the position be presented to the Finance Committee, which had recommended maintaining a level budget.

Dog park mowing at $4,800 annually was approved, and Diment Park design work proceeds on parking and site plans addressing accessible access and an oak tree at the entrance.
