School Committee recommends against Highland Building use by district.
School Committee Meeting Agendas (Local and Regional) · Meeting of February 11, 2026
Carlisle School Committee unanimously approves Highland Building recommendation to Select Board. The Committee recommended that the district does not have a current use for the Highland Building but would have use for the land if cleared, and voted to create a memo to the Select Board outlining this position. In related business, the Committee approved four warrants totaling $1,137,119.71 and advanced superintendent succession planning by agreeing to post for a full Superintendent position.
Superintendent James O'Shea recommended the full posting, and the Committee intends to identify a candidate who can support the district's ongoing strategic planning process.
