School Committee Meeting Agendas (Local and Regional) · Meeting of May 13, 2026

Carlisle School Committee rejects interim superintendent finalists. The committee voted unanimously to reject both candidates recommended by its search committee after concerns from community members and district staff emerged about their fitness for the role. According to the minutes, committee members consulted with the Massachusetts Association of School Committees about available options, which included making an internal appointment or reviewing vetted interim candidates from MASC.

The committee determined that requesting additional candidates from the search committee was not viable given the existing candidate pool, and noted that only one current staff member was both qualified and willing to serve as interim superintendent.
