CARLISLE — School committee approved new strategic direction while establishing technology oversight. The Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee unanimously approved superintendent and school committee goals for 2026-2027, including a focus on closing math achievement gaps where eighth-grade proficiency reaches 66% overall but drops to 22% for students with disabilities and 48% for low-income students. Superintendent Dr.
Laurie Hunter cited the need for improved core instruction through Universal Design for Learning. In response to three parents' public comments about cell phone use and educational technology, the district announced plans to launch two committees in October: an Instructional Technology Committee and a District Community Technology Committee. The committee also unanimously approved a $697,173 bond anticipation note for the Concord-Carlisle High School access road.
