CARLISLE — Select Board approves alcohol license, gas contract authorization, cemetery transfers. The Board unanimously approved a one-day alcohol permit for the Gleason Public Library Endowment's October 18 silent auction at Clark Farm and authorized Town Administrator Ryan McLane to execute one-year natural gas contracts under $13.00 per dekatherm without returning for Board votes, with Chair Christine Stevens recused due to National Grid employment. The Board also unanimously approved transfer of four cemetery plots at the Green Cemetery and authorized four resolutions amending trust funds through petition to the Attorney General, converting the Robbins Loan Scholarship Fund to a straightforward scholarship and allowing principal and interest spending on four smaller funds.
Town Treasurer Sandra Nason reported outstanding long-term debt of $7,630,000 as of June 30th, with a bond anticipation note for police station and elevator repairs due December 18th requiring a decision on reissuance versus conversion to long-term debt.
